How it works
Continue with Gmail or Outlook, connect a bank through Plaid, or upload a PDF. Unwanted Subscription looks for repeating charges and matches them to brands you already know. The list stays on this iPhone.
1 · Mail
You sign in with Google or Microsoft. We never collect a mailbox password. Permission is read-only: we cannot send, delete, or change mail.
The scan looks at likely receipts , App Store, Google Play, known merchant domains , extracts merchant, amount, and date, then returns a list. Message bodies are not stored.

2 · Bank
You pick your bank in Plaid Link and sign in there. Unwanted Subscription never collects a bank username or password. We cannot move money. We only read recent transactions to find repeating charges.
Plaid already flags many subscriptions as recurring streams. We also group remaining outflows by merchant. If Netflix, Spotify, or another known brand shows up, or the same name hits at a similar amount more than once, it goes on the list. Transaction lines are not kept after the scan.
3 · Statements
Some people would rather pick a file. Download 90 days from the bank or card that actually pays. Recurring names and amounts get matched to known merchants. Unknown repeaters still appear.
PDF files are read on the server and discarded. CSV files stay on the device. You do not have to connect a bank if you upload a statement.
4 · Decide
Open the cancel page for the brand. Follow the list. If the receipt said Apple, also cancel in Settings → Subscriptions. Deleting an app does not stop the bill.
Limits
Apple does not let third-party apps OAuth into iCloud. Use Gmail, Outlook, a bank, or a statement. Why iCloud is blocked.
Bank connect is read-only through Plaid. We never see your bank password. You can still upload a file instead.
You confirm with Netflix, Spotify, Apple, or whoever bills. Safer, and how those services work.
Scans can miss a charge or match the wrong brand. Check the merchant before you cancel.
