Using Unwanted Subscription
These terms cover the Unwanted Subscription app on iOS and iPadOS, and this website. By using Unwanted Subscription, you agree to them.
Agreement
If you do not agree, do not install or use the app. Continuing past onboarding, connecting an inbox, or uploading a statement means you accept this page and the Privacy Policy.
You must be old enough to use the App Store in your country. Unwanted Subscription is not directed at children under 13.
The product
Unwanted Subscription helps you find recurring charges, see what they cost, and cancel the ones you don’t want. It can scan inboxes you connect, read statements you upload, keep a list on this device, and show cancel steps for known merchants.
Unwanted Subscription is not a bank, not a payment processor, and not a cancellation service that acts in your name. You cancel with the merchant (or Apple or Google) yourself.
Sources
You may connect Gmail or Outlook. That is optional. You authorize read-only access so we can look for receipts and billing mail. You must only connect an account you are allowed to use.
You may connect Yahoo or another mailbox over IMAP with an app password. You must only use an account you are allowed to use. Disconnecting the inbox deletes that login from our server.
You may upload a bank or card statement. Only upload files that are yours. PDF statements are sent to our server to extract recurring charges and are not kept after the scan. CSV files are read on the device.
Scans can miss charges, misread amounts, or match the wrong brand. Treat the list as a starting point. Check the merchant or your statement before you cancel anything.
Guides
Cancel guides and “Open cancel page” links are meant to help you find the merchant’s own account or billing page. Merchants change their sites. We do not guarantee that a guide is complete, current, or that canceling will succeed.
Some plans are billed by Apple, Google, or a reseller. You may need to cancel there as well. Unwanted Subscription does not cancel subscriptions for you.
Purchases
The app is free to start. Pro unlocks the full list of names, cancel guides, and renewal reminders. Prices, duration, and trial (if any) are shown in the App Store paywall before you buy.
Payment is collected by Apple. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your local data does not cancel Pro. Apple’s standard refund rules apply; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
Your account
The app may create a device session so inbox connections work. If you register with email, you are responsible for that password. Do not share it.
You can delete local data in Profile. Remove connected inboxes to drop their tokens from our servers.
Use
We may suspend access if these rules are broken, or if we have to in order to protect the service.
Marks
Netflix, Spotify, Apple, Adobe, and other merchant names and logos are trademarks of their owners. They appear so you can recognize charges. That is not a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement.
Unwanted Subscription, the power-mark icon, and this site are ours. Don’t copy the app or the site as your own product.
Disclaimer
Totals, “waste” estimates, and keep-or-cancel suggestions are convenience features. They are not advice. We do not promise savings. The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows , including that scans will be complete or that a cancel page will still work.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed charges, wrong merchants, failed cancellations, leftover bills, or lost data on a device you wipe or replace. If a court finds we owe you anything, it is limited to the amount you paid us for Unwanted Subscription Pro in the 12 months before the claim (often zero, because Apple collects the payment).
Some places don’t allow these limits. In those places, they apply only as far as allowed. You keep any rights you cannot waive.
App Store
If you download Unwanted Subscription from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Unwanted Subscription. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the EULA for the licensed application.
Updates
We may update this page as the product changes. The effective date at the top will move. Using a newer version of Unwanted Subscription after an update means that version’s terms apply.
