To cancel a subscription billed through Apple, open Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions on iPhone. Deleting the app does not stop the bill. If the receipt says Apple, Apple is the merchant your bank knows. Netflix, ChatGPT, or a scanner app may still be the product. You cancel in two places only if you also signed up on the web.
The iPhone path
- Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Open the one you want to end.
- Cancel Subscription, then confirm.
Access continues until the period ends. That is normal. The next Apple.com/bill line should stop after that date.

Apple One vs the pieces
Apple One is Music, TV+, Arcade, and iCloud+ in one charge. Canceling One ends the bundle. If you still want iCloud storage, subscribe to iCloud+ alone before the end date or you can lose extra storage.
Deleting the app does nothing
This is the bug people hit every month. Offloading ChatGPT, deleting a photo editor, or signing out of an app does not tell App Store billing to stop. Only Subscriptions does.
When Apple is not the biller
If you started Netflix in a browser, cancel on Netflix. If Spotify says “Apple” on the payment page, cancel in Settings. When both exist, cancel both. Leftover store billing is how people pay twice. Brand-specific steps live in the cancel guides.
Unwanted Subscription will flag Apple-billed items from receipts and from statements that say Apple.com/bill. You still confirm in Settings. The app does not cancel for you, on purpose.
