How to cancel ChatGPT Plus

Cancel ChatGPT Plus from Settings → Subscription. If Apple or Google bills you, cancel in that store. Access lasts until the period ends.

Steps

Cancel ChatGPT Plus yourself

Open ChatGPT settings

On the web, open ChatGPT, then Settings → Subscription (or My plan).
Manage subscription

Choose Manage subscription. That often opens the Stripe or store portal where Plus is billed.
Cancel renewal

Turn off auto-renew or cancel the plan. Plus stays active until the date shown.
iPhone App Store bills

If you subscribed in the iOS app, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ChatGPT and cancel there.
Team or Pro plans

Workspace and higher tiers have their own admin cancel path. Cancel the plan that matches the charge on your card.

Watch for

Canceling Plus returns the account to the free tier. Chats are not deleted by a cancel.
OpenAI API usage is billed separately from ChatGPT Plus.
